DSE (VDU) Assessments

Online assessments

Some larger organisations with many employees and perhaps multiple sites may have the requirement to train staff quickly and may require management information.

Our range of award winning, online self-assessment modules are provided by our partners and deliver cost effective solutions to meet current Health and Safety regulations.

Each programme has a robust, yet easy to use learning management system and provides you with an easy to customise self-assessment tool and full reporting on the issues raised, giving a full audit history per person.

Any concerns raised can be followed up in a practical timeframe and individuals can take part in one of our One to One assessments at work.

One to one assessments at work

These involve private consultations with employees who are experiencing/have reported particular problems. The focus is on posture, sitting, movement and exercises and can relate to the seminar topics. Sessions require a private room and normally take 30 minutes each. 10 consultations can be accommodated in one day.

One to one massage at work

The emphasis in these sessions is on stress reduction, relaxation and stretching. Sessions can range for 10 – 30 minutes duration depending on the requirements and take place in a private room.

Seminars

These seminars normally last 45 – 60 minutes with up to 20 employees present.

Ergonomic/workstation

Seminar style, interactive training addressing back care advice and postural awareness from an osteopathic (holistic) perspective for those spending large periods of their time at desks/workstations.

Manual Handling

Practical advice and training for employees who have to lift or move objects as part of their daily jobs. We use our experience of diagnosis and treatment to illustrate how to prevent injuries including correct lifting, spinal anatomy, common lifting pitfalls and injuries and preventative exercises.

Driving

This seminar is designed for employees who spend much of their time driving as part of their job. It aims to improve understanding of what constitutes good and poor posture and how to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injury. The programme includes practical work with anatomical models; advice on common symptoms and how to avoid them and choosing the correct car type and seat position for you and your employees
